First prize of $700 goes to Mr. Andrew Richards of St. George’s,
while the second prize of $300 goes to Miss Allina Panchoo of Grenville.
The competition was announced by the ARD, on behalf of the
Association, on September 23. The Ministry of Education was invited to
inform all schools of the Competition. A total of 26 persons entered
before the extended deadline of October 31. Because the contest
permitted more than one entry per person, a total of 38 entries were
received.
The competition is the first major project of the Association, which
was launched on September 3. The competition called for a simple
design, in colour, to depict the corporate image of the Association on
its letterhead, website, lapel pins and certificates, among other
documents.
Mr. Richards, 25 years, entered in the 17 years and older category and Miss Panchoo, 8 years, entered in the 16 years and under.
The cash prizes, which are donated by Collaborative Designs and
Whint Engineering, will be awarded at a special ceremony in the New
Year.
