The Department of Economic Recovery seeks to address the creation of jobs by facilitating support to local businesses as well as creating initiatives to reinforce the drive for new investments. Assisting with strategy development for the tourism, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, including forestry and fisheries, is a key activity of the Department. The Department is working with statutory bodies to improve operational efficiencies.

Formulating a National Plan, in collaboration with the private and public sectors, is also a major objective of the Department.
